socorro made it a point that everyone speaks english around her daughter hailey.. so her husband jay (who is not AT ALL a fan of the english language) would talk to their daughter in simple sentences, like he would a dog.
"hailey, sit."
"hailey, stand up."
"hailey, face the wall."
