Tagalog Analytics

on March 16, 2009

I tried to access my Google Analytics account today and this is what I saw. A page full of tagalog words, sentences and paragraphs! Nosebleed!

That's just the log-in page. The homepage of my account made me dizzy. Words kinukumpirma, katayuan and magsalista bombarded my page. As my husband used to say, WTF???

Friendster Friends

on January 22, 2009

Friendster. As much as I would want to migrate to Facebook because it seems to be the "in" thing" today, I don't have the heart to leave my 449 friendster friends behind. Except for the occasional total strangers, 5% of that number are my real friends. That's already A LOT in this world. LOLz.

Not that it matters to you and all, but this is my current primary photo. Me and my then 7-month old son are waiting for our flight at the Cebu International Airport. How time flies, he's now 1 year and 3 months old.

Make me Babies

on December 18, 2008

makemebabies.com is the coolest! It gives me a preview of what my offspring would be like without having to wait for nine months. All I have to do is upload me and my husbands picture and viola! An instant baby in 30 seconds.

Heres our little virtual bundle of joy. Cute eh!

.. and this is how he's going to look like if he's African. LOLz.

Youtube

on November 17, 2008

I saw the creators of youtube on Oprah and it made me want to barf. Those guys look like nerds who are barely even out of their diapers. Alright, I'm a bit exaggerating. I just didn't expect anyone to take Darwin's theory of evolution to THAT level just yet.

Jawed Karim Chad Hurley and Steve Chen (in random order. hehe.)

There you go. Now we know that they look more like the Three Stooges than Bill Gates clones. That was me, trying to be funny again.. because by the end of the day, I could only thank these guys for giving me the 21st century miracle that is youtube. Bleh! I don't have to watch TV on TV anymore.

I already admitted to having a flourishing jologs life, right?

Maintaining 2, uh no, 3 english blogs and working for two callcenters in the span of 2 years became a little too much for me so I decided to channel myself into something uniquely Filipino.

I used to think that reading tagalog pocketbooks are only for uneducated housemaids or lonely domestic helpers. Brrr, I don't even know how to say it without sounding offensive, because I truly respect them for all the hard work they do. Moving on..

Jologs or not, I'm gonna keep on reading. Hell, I even had the audacity to put my real name and personal picture on my favorite author's website! LOLz.

FYI, This is how she looks like.

Paypal

on September 14, 2008

I have here two widgets I use on my blogs and on my spammer posts (guilty!) since I started a love-hate relationship with paypal.

I was surprised to see a number of people register under my name. I just hope they make a lot of $200 deposits though, so I could get my $1 for each of them. Whoever said that it's easy to make money online?

Sign up for PayPal and start accepting credit card payments instantly.

I got zero, nada, on the donations part though. I guess people's money are better off with the salvation army than with me. I get that. LOLz.

I labeled this donation button with "buy me a bear" because I drinking coffee will probably trigger a nervous breakdown. Yes, that's how sensitive I am to it.

Boohoo, it runs in the blood.

I'm not losing hope though. I'm patiently waiting for any one of my readers to get really really depressed, decide to drink a huge bucket of beer and click on the donate button. LOLz.

The chances of this happening is as thin as air, but I'm not losing hope. Ha!

Movie Mistakes

on September 08, 2008

I used to think it was cool to see small black dots inside a big piece of white paper so I became a regular at the movie mistakes website.

I did that until I got so addicted to finding the mistakes that I already forgot to enjoy the movie and accept is as it is. I felt worse than the critic who thinks that "The Godfather" was a bad movie because Al Pacino was too short for the role.

I realized it's not worth getting pissed off about "the beer color changed to crimson instead of orange" or "the right hand changed position on the next angle", because it defeats the whole purpose of watching a movie.

Nevertheless, it is a cool site. I get to visit once in a while but only after I gave myself much time to be entertained without any form of prejudice.

Now hear this, Apocalypse Now (directed by the great Francis For Coppola) made the most mistakes at 394. How ironic is that?

Post Secret

on August 08, 2008

One of my favorite sites in the internet is a website called Post Secret. It is a collection of postcards made by anonymous people.

The owner doesn't show his archive list so I always make it a point to view the page every sunday, when he updates all his entries. Here's one example..

What I like about this website is that it doesn't focus on making money out of other people's secrets. It doesn't even have the tiniest google ad on it.

It's just so nice that people now have a space to express thoughts that they cannot say to even their closes family members.

Truly, everybody has a secret.
