Lore & Empoy

on January 30, 2009

Aaaaahh weddings! Is there anything more beautiful? My high school pal and perennial nice girl (hehe), Lorena, tied the knot a few weeks ago.. and as always, I am the last to know since I live miles and miles away from civilization. My goodness, I haven't seen her in 12 years and she's still a friend, yes, thanks to friendster! Hahaha!

Well, after some serious heartache, God really picked her up and put her in a higher place-- with a better person. Now she smiles and laughs as if everything makes perfect sense.

It's true what they say, that the bride will look the prettiest on her wedding day. The perennial nice girl is glowing!

You are about to see a montage of Korean Celebrities who went under the knife to look like the celebrities they are now. There, are of course, some exceptions so you can breath normally now.

I have nothing against people trying to enhance whatever natural aesthetics they have, but to totally re-stucture their faces and bodies to create another human being is just sad.. not to mention ungrateful.

Pacquiao vs Dela Hoya

on December 08, 2008

The Pambansang Kamao single-handedly brought the whole world down to it's knees yesterday, December 7, 2008, Philippine time. People from all over were forced to utter the name "Pacquiao", no matter how weird or how foreign it may sound. They just had to, because they will be left out on the news about one of boxing's greatest upsets. LOLz.

I'm no boxing fanatic but I am coerced into watching these fights because my husband guards the remote with his life everytime Manny's fights are on. Seriously, He is a symbol of all men, Filipino or not, whose wives (or girlfriends) will probably drop dead if they even get close enough to changing the channel. Hehe.

How the hell did that minute little thing manage to knock down someone as big as Oscar? It defies all laws of physics, common sense and inductive reasoning! Oscar looks to me like he just stood there so he could magically turn into a lifeless punching bag. When the fight ended, he even looked uglier than Manny Pacquiao! Hahaha!

I may have to give up my dreams of becoming a fortune teller because I am one of those who thought that this fight may number one, cause Manny's death, or number two, cause a career ending injury for our national hero.

The best thing about these dream fights though, is that for three full hours, muggers and murderers seem to be too preoccupied to commit a crime. On his crucial hours fighting inside that ring, Manny unknowingly unifies a broken country and it's people. If I were Manny, those blackeyes and bruises will be all worth it.

Vanessa Paradis

on December 07, 2008

Now I remember where I first saw Vanessa Paradis i.e. the luckiest (and most hated) girl in the world for snagging a certain Johnny Depp and giving him two gorgeous kids.

She looked prettier when she was younger --way prettier. Recent photos of her doesn't have any trace the Coco Chanel beauty that she was. She looks harassed nowadays, not to mention reeaally old. She has a great voice though --but don't be fooled, I still hate her. Haha!

For what it's worth, she must really be a good woman because bad boy Johnny reformed and stayed with her all those years. Whatever makes you happy Mr. Sparrow!

Date with an Angel

on September 06, 2008

I cannot explain in so many words how much I want to hug the makers of youtube. I'm thinking that it is the best thing mankind ever invented (well, next to pringles course).

You see, "Date with an angel" is one of my all time favorite movies. It was made in 1987 so finding a copy of it is like finding a needle in a one acre haystack.

Then youtube comes along..

NOTE: I think Phoebe Cates is one of the most beautiful women ever to grace the silver screen but she looked like a housemaid on this one. Thanks to standing side by side with the lovely Emanuelle Beart, who played the angel.

On the downside, this post makes me feel really old. LOLz.

Super Mario Brothers

on September 04, 2008

This video brings back a lot of my memories from childhood. We didn't have playstations or x-boxes then. All we had was a humble family computer.

A lot of may see it as cheap and primitive, but at that point in time, it was the bomb! Hell I even spent my lunch money to pay a neighborhood to kill King Koopa and save Princess Toadstool.

Hahaha! Thinking about it makes me giggle like a kid again.

Zazoo Condom Commercial

on August 20, 2008

I wonder why this commercial is banned from being aired on TV. I really don't think that people should be THAT sensitive about the topic of condoms and unwanted pregnancies anymore. It's one of the major causes of poverty (and a lot of headaches, hahaha)in the world.

For crying out loud, this commercial is funny and thought provoking in a very weird way. Let it be!

My brother in law told me about Achmed the dead terrorists video on youtube weeks ago but I didn't get to see the video until just recently.

I viewed it 5 times the first day. I kept laughing the whole time for reasons unknown to me. I love Jeff Dunham for making the words "dead" and "terrorist" (which, traditionally, shouldn't be funny) and making Achmed seem like a totally different person. I could go on and on..

Wait a minute, think I'm having a crush on a ventriloquist! LOLz.

Paul Potts

Paul Potts made his appearance in Britain's Got Talent seem like a dramatic scene in a movie with, of course, his own angelic voice used in the musical scoring. I think I even dropped my jaw somewhere. LOLz.

Now people, never judge a book by it's cover.

Evolution of Dance

on July 22, 2008

I was watching Oprah one time and she feature Youtube's most watched videos.

Who would ever think that Jud Laipply's evolution of dance will have 93,171,812 views to date? It even has it's own website.

This is indeed the funniest six minutes I ever saw. Lolz.
