Elma

on March 19, 2009

Elma is my mother-in-law’s part-time secretary. She has been a working student for almost three years now and she’s already on her fourth year in college. She came from a very poor family and her parents had no means of sending her to college. Even if the odd were against her, she still persevered because she wanted a better future for her family.

The fact that she’s juggling her time between her job and school doesn’t stop her from being good at what she does. I so admire her for being a very reliable and courteous employee at all times. She sustains her studies with her payday loans so she only so little to spare for her wants.. but she believes that everything is going to get better after she graduates college. :)

A random neighbor of ours knocked on our door at about 6 o’clock in the morning. She told me that she was scheduled to give birth in a few months and she really needs money. She asked us if we will be kind enough to lend her some. She promised to pay it in a few months time and with ten percent interest.

I was shocked by her boldn
ess because I didn’t even know her first name. I only recognize her face every time she walks by the house. I told her that I didn’t have anything to offer her. It is true that I didn’t have money at that time and I won’t lend her even if I had.

I was concerned about the baby inside her but she was pretty scarly. The fact that she trespassed out gate to enter our compound was odd enough. I told her to get
cash advance from somebody else.

imHosted

on February 23, 2009

imHosted is a great site to go to if you're looking for reliable and cost efficient website hosting services. Like any other website I go to, I stumbled upon it while looking for the best web hosting service I could get for my three year old blog.

The website is user friendly, making it easy even for internet newbies to navigate through it. I am also one who goes for website aesthetics. This one is rather classy with its black, gray and red color combinations. I love it!

It has a number of tailor made packages you could choose from making it much easier for anyone, if it weren’t already. The site also boasts of its fifteen minute ticket response. Wow! A good product and good customer service in one inexpensive package? That's basically what every customer dreams of any product. This certainly is affordable website hosting at it's best!

Web Hosting Choice

on February 20, 2009

Now that this blog has already turned three years older, I’ve been contemplating on getting my own domain name. I know, I’m already a couple of years too late but I have to qualify that I’ve only been blogging actively the past couple of months. I didn’t want to waste money back then on a lazy blog. I was busy working in a call center at that time and it was really impractical to maintain a blog that I hardly even visit.

Now that I am a stay-at-home business mom, I have more time to update my blog and earn money online. The internet is a great big place with a lot of scam sites that could take advantage of anyone. What web host should I choose.

It’s a good thing that I found a website which provides me with a comprehensive list of web hosting choices sites that provide the best webhosting services. I was always planning to go for godaddy.com because I’ve been hearing that a lot of bloggers are already using it. Then, I saw this website and realized that I have a lot more options than I thought.

I'm talking about, www.webhostingchoice.com

Single Women

on January 12, 2009

Source: The Internet Dating Guide

Everybody seems to be falling in love these days. In an era of internet dating, mobile phones and the like, everybody seems to be grasping love through gmail and yahoo messenger. LOLz. Guess what? I even found a website featuring quirky (and sometimes adorable) dating profiles. The variety race, religion and gender preference on that site kind of reminds me of UNICEF and United Colors of Benetton. Really.

On the other hand..

Hmmm, one high school friend and classmate broke up with her boyfriend of three years. No, let me correct that --the guy dumped her. The nerve of that guy to break my poor friends heart. Grrr! He’s not even that good looking.

Well, before I blabber out the nasty, I think I will give her some internet dating tips. For sure, there are a lot of internet dating sites out there waiting to be conquered by single women like her.

Snapbomb

on December 15, 2008

New money making online schemes keep popping out of the ground like mushrooms in a cold, damp place. They are pretty much everywhere! Among my latest discoveries and the one that creates the most buss is a website called snapbomb. It seems to be a very user-friendly website. The instructions are very easy to understand and it everyone who wants to join doesn’t have to be a genius to figure out what to do next. The registration and approval process was a walk in the park too. So far, I’m satisfied.

On the other hand. it’s never an easy task to distinguish websites that would make you a couple of dollars richer from those that would only waste your time. Geeez, I hate those kind of people, web 2.0 wannabes and do does the rest of the whole blogosphere.

I can’t help being a cynic when it comes to these things, but I’m hoping this new blog marketing / blog advertising site proves me wrong. I’m crossing my fingers now.

Everything Homemade

on December 10, 2008

I was pissed off at the Jollibee crew for not calling me back about my son’s birthday. I didn’t feel like an important customer so I decided to hold the party at home, with only my mom, aunt and cousin to work on everything i.e. the two flavored spaghetti (don’t ask), the children’s giveaways, the invitations and pretty much everything in between. Goodness! I was tired as a cow after everyone went home.

My self-centeredness backfired and "everything homemade" plan backfired on me. The party ended up being more expensive than the Jollibee party we rejected earlier. We had to get a cash advance that, of course, we are still paying until now. Hahaha!

Making money online is not as easy as they say, especially that my name is not John Chow or Kid Blogger. I’ve been trying to surf the internet for tips and tricks on how to earn bigger bucks over the net, but all my efforts seem to be in vain.

Learning the ropes of blogging and earning dollars at home, is a little tricky. It’s a far cry from the usual day job that I used to do. I have no medical insurance, no payday loans and no human officemates. It seems like a very small price to pay than having a chinese boss and 8 hour shifts though. LOLz.

My chances of making THAT big an income from blogging are really thin but it’s ok, I’m supposed to be a stay-at-home-mom anyway. Hehe.

Home Business

on November 17, 2008

Most of the people I know, even the rich ones, seem to want to get out of the country fast. Except for my fear of the plane I’m in crashing down the Bermuda Triangle and being away from the limelight, it seems to be a neat option to escape poverty and parental control. LOLz..

I’m not even thinking about it though. What? Me? Spending my spare time ordering a single pizza in a shabby apartment? In Honduras? No! No! No! I want to go to Europe or America for a vacation, not actually live there! Not to mention be the subject of involuntary acts of racism. I’m used to being the accidental racist in my area. Hehe.

The horror of being away from home, away from my boys, is simply unthinkable. I have to consider a few more
home business options other than selling fake Abercrombie & Fitch T-Shirts.

I’ve been reading a few important websites on how to make money online since the internet is already my second life. Wait that didn’t come out right did it? LOLz. What I mean is that when I’m not busy being an all around wife and mommy, you can see me in front of the computer neglecting all my duties. Hehe.

Sterling Silver Jewellery

on November 14, 2008

I prefer silver. That’s compared to the traditional gold ensemble that I see in pretty much every female anatomy that matters. Don’t get me wrong, I like seeing gold pieces on SOME women, just not myself.

One thing I can’t stand though are men wearing golden anything that looks like just a few tons lighter than a boulder. Hello! Hey look like guys who just came back from Saudi.

Err, uhm, no offense to guys who just came back from Saudi. Point is, I find silver jewellery more elegant and classy. I know, I’m a boring person. I like things that don’t glitter as much. In the first place, attracting muggers and social climbers are really not my cup of tea. LOLz.

On the other hand, I came across another site which sells
sterling silver jewellery. Hmm.. sterling silver bracelets and silver bangles.. what’s not to like?

I heard the silver pieces are imported directly from Thailand. So Thailand has a fewer more things to offer than cheap shopping, amazing vagina shows and the longest names in the world huh?

Apparently, this company also don’t charge anything for deliveries to anywhere in the world. It sounds too good to be true because I hardly even hear about companies that do that these days, but who knows? The second coming is probably nearer than we thought. Haha. Joke.

Cash Advance

on October 07, 2008

Having a ready-to-wear business is a real pain in the neck, except of course, for a couple of perks here and there. We have to be in a constant hunt for what’s new and what’s going to click with people from all walks of life.

I also learned that there’s a big difference with the “want” business and the “need” business. People will stop to buy rice and sausages in the middle of a typhoon but will reserve their strength to buy a lovely bag for later, if you catch my drift. LOLz.

The biggest problem that we have, however, is the capital. You know, people tend to be greedy most of the time and just like them, we always want to expand, expend, expand. I want to sell high end bags but the capital I need to do that is just brrrr!

I wonder where we can get any more cash advance programs because we already squeezed all of our rich friends and family dry. LOLz.

Fast Cash

on October 02, 2008

Things have been a little different since I shifted my career to being a plain housewife. It is quite a relief to think that I don’t have bosses to report to anymore nor do I have high taxes to pay. On the downside, I don’t get to have midnights at starbucks and aimless shopping sprees anymore –and since I’m not working for a big company anymore, it also means my fast cash payday loans benefits will all go down to nada. Buuhuu.

I have no regrets about staying at home though. It gave me more time to nurture our baby and be there to witness almost all the “firsts” in his life. I also get to take care of my husband on the side. LOLz.

Classic Jewelry

on September 12, 2008

Once again, I have a funny anecdote to tell you, my dear readers.

One fine day my husband was bragging about our wedding band to his friend Paul who, incidentally, was also getting married in a few months time.

Now they are both wearing the same wedding band in the office. My husband always jokes around that he needs to stay away from that silly friend of his because they might be mistaken for husband and wife. LOLz.

Moving on.. I chanced upon a posh website for classic jewelry. The site is really simple but it looks classy. I'm not really a fan of the gold and diamond kind but the things I see in this website are just wow. They have the whole nine yards of jewelry, from Stud Earrings (which, by the way, my husband REALLY loves to wear) to even the most disarming Diamond Pendant.

The Three Stone Ring will remain a myth and a mystery though. It really looks expensive!

Just a thought, the girl on the website's homepage really looks like Rachel McAdams. It's eerie. Whatever, the fact that she starred in one of the most romantic love films of all time is probably not just a coincidence. (Wink)

Nouveau Rich

on September 03, 2008

I first heard the term “nouveau riche” a long time ago and paid no attention to it until I bumped into Bryan Boy’s fashion blog. He is a self proclaimed nouveau riche (which, according to wikipedia means “new riche” in french and refers to a person who has acquired considerable wealth within his or her generation) fashionista.

I googled more about it and viola! I bumped into another site that is aptly named Nouveau Riche University as it teaches students the concepts and strategies needed to survive in the real estate industry.

When I saw the website, I thought it had quite a catchy name for a school. Scanning through the pages of the website, I was kind of hesitant to admit my mistake of judging it prematurely.

I was even caught by surprise the moment I knew that they deal with an industry that was not to be taken lightly. Real estate investing is considered as a very competitive endeavor anywhere in the world.

The university promises applied knowledge and creating wealth through successful real estate investing. I mean what’s not to love about making your own money at a relatively young age, right?
